Along Side Failure Lies the Motivation to Succeed

There were numerous goals that I had set up for myself in the past. Through hard work I had achieved many, yet at the same time (like everyone else) I had experienced my fair share of hardships- along with broken goals. I realize now that it is just a part of life to fail, but that is not going to keep me from pursuing what I dream. This year, along with the many years to come, I vow to continue to work hard toward my goals; because along side my failure lies my motivation to succeed.
I have two main goals that I want to achieve for my senior year. My first goal is to improve my skills in welding. I began welding last year at trade school and quickly fell in love with it, but due to new regulations the class was forced to take time to study NCCER; this took out a large amount of practice time in the shop. I am now NCCER certified and I wish to hone in on the skills that I have already learned. I am scheduled to go to trade school for welding during first and second block- throughout first and second semester. This will give me amply time to practice and learn more about welding. I also wish to keep a steady grade point average in school. I have always been a sort of slacker, but this year -being my senior year- I have made a resolution to change that. In order to change myself I am going to put extra effort into studying and completing my work; both in and outside of school.
Down the road I aim have a job at Austal USA. I have connections that will aid me greatly in getting the job, but in order to keep it I must be sure to work with the best of my abilities. While at Austal, I aspire to attend college and graduate with a business degree specializing in Entrepreneurship or Small Business Management. With these two goals coinciding I will have to be sure to manage my time wisely between work and school.
As time goes on and goals intertwine, I hope that I will be able to quit my job and travel the country to find a location for my business. This will take a mass amount of money, as well as planning. I do not plan on doing anything before I am fully prepared, so I am not sure how long it will take me to achieve this goal...but I am determined to keep going forward. This may be strenuous, but I have enough faith in myself and my goals to strive forward no matter the difficulty.
Through hard work and determination I will continue to do my best in High School, and afterwards, to achieve my goals. While I may fail in completing one goal, it will not stop me from creating another. For in the the end, what my failed goals may lead to is the motivation of a greater success.
